I liked it man. It's got a dreary, gloomy vibe that is complemented nicely by the raw, garage type production and sound. Good dope shooting music, now if I had some dope haha. Did you do the vox, play all the instruments and over-track them or do you have other musicians you work with?

Thanks man. Yeah I played all the instruments (except bass), did the vocals, produced it, everything. Mr. Blue through in some guitar parts too that were dope.

When you play drums, do (or can) you play double bass (cheater pedals count) and can you play blast beats? I really, really need other musicians to play with on my new project which hopefully will become a band when I find local musicians that play (or are willing to play) the death metal/black metal/old school goth/dark classical music hybrid I play. I've already named the project; Coffin Birth. It's definition is the postmortem expulsion of a non-viable fetus by a deceased mother. I have a couple songs in the works, I just keep changing them because I'm never happy with shit I write and keep improving it and seeing how complex and creepy I can make it. We could collaborate online if you're up to it. I could email you some riffs and the basic ideas of two or three songs I have partially written : "Dark Oblivion", Unholy Essence ", and "Invocation of the Old Ones" if you're interested. Let me know. I'm sure it's not your cup of musical tea and it's not like it's got to be a permanent thing, it would just help me a lot to have other musicians besides just myself working on this so I can hurry and have some tracks on CD to shop to other musicians that do play this kind of stuff. I don't think I have another tour in me but I damn sure have a few albums in me (and maybe the occasional gig for old time's sake).

I use a double pass pedal a lot. So yeah I can play blast beats, grindcore, etc. I havent played in any metal bands in a while and thats not really my style of music so im not sure how fast I am anymore haha but i can pretty much play anything on the drums given enough practice. I studied really technical shit for a while when I was big into drumming. That was the first instrument I ever learned when I was like 7. I got really good to the point it was boring an I was tired of being in the back.

So I picked up guitar and started singing and just played drums on recordings or random jam sessions. I'm sure if you post an ad on craigs list for gigs, fast metal drummer who can play blast beats you'll get like 100 replies. I've found a lot of good musicians through craigs list.

Or there are those music collaboration sites like kompoz.com where you do it all online. You send the drummer you picked your song, and he sends it back to you with the drums recorded.

Or just use Midi drums with programs like ez drummer or superior drummer if you want even more flexibility. They make real recorded drum tracks in all styles that you can literally just drag and drop into your mix. Check out the toontrack metal midi packs. They have a ton of metal ones. And they're made from real recorded drums and drummers playing the beats on real kits so you wouldn't be able to hear a difference. Plus it'll make for a lot easier mixing because they basically come pre mixed hah. And micing a drum kit then mixing it is a bitch.
